STOCKTON MOTORPLEX PARK

TRACK MEMBERSHIP

  1. Membership fees are $300 per year. This is a family membership; i.e., spouse, children living under your roof and yourself. The membership is valid for one year, starting the date you join.
  2. Please Note – the track membership does not include race day’s fees, pit passes or spectator fees.
  3. The track is open on Mondays for Motorcycles only, no karts.
  4. Club members must be able to show their membership card to any “Stockton Motorplex Park” board member or the security guard when asked for proof of membership. Memberships are checked on a regular basis.
  5. Non-Members are required to pay at $25 Practice Fee; if they cannot pay they will be asked to leave the track. Practice Fee’s may be paid at the MMI Store. They are welcome to practice at the track during open hours. If you let a non-member into the facility please ask them to complete the “Release of Liability” form located either on the side of the scale house or in the MMI Store.
  6. Loaning out your membership card is not permissible. Doing so can revoke your membership.
  7. Drip Pans are required to be used in all areas of the track, at all times. If you are caught dumping fuel or oil on the ground your membership will be revoked and you will be fined the maximum the law allows.
  8. Track hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. six (6) days a week, excluding race days or other days an event may be planned. Please check our schedule. The track is closed for the San Joaquin County Fair, please check schedule.
  9. When the track is posted as “Closed” there will no use of the track. Any member using the track will lose his/her membership. Non-members will be subject to prosecution.
  10. Vehicles are not allowed parked on the pit area pavement. Driving vehicles in the pits to unload or load karts and equipment is permitted. No motorized vehicles permitted on the track except Go-Karts.
  11. No skateboards, bicycles, roller skates or roller blades are permitted at the facility during racing hours.
  12. No open fires.
  13. All members are required to have a fire extinguisher in their pits.
  14. No open practice on scheduled racing event days. Please check the schedule.
  15. Dogs (pets) must be kept on short leashes at all times; it is your responsibility to clean up after your pet. Please do not bring aggressive pets or pets that become anxious around small children.

Open Practice Rules

  1. Air boxes are mandatory – everyday! 4 cycle engines are excluded.
  2. All IKF/Nor Cal rules apply to practice days. All drivers must wear an approved full coverage helmet (M2000 or better) neck collar, high top shoes, heavy scuff resistant jacket, pants (jeans are OK, T-Shirts are not) and gloves.
  3. Minimum age for driving during open practice is 5 years old. Parents; you are expected to keep the faster karts off the track when your child is practicing.
  4. Junior drivers are not allowed to test karts that they are not eligible to drive in competition. Jr. 1’s cannot drive Jr. Sportsman or Jr. II/Jr. Sportsman cannot drive a pipe or shifter kart. A Junior driver who is in their option year can test the next level karts even if they are still competing in the lower Junior category.
  5. All Karts must meet current IKF Spring Kart specification and safety criteria. Absolutely no fun karts allowed on the track at any time.
  6. When starting a kart on the ground, the driver must be in the kart with his foot on the brake pedal. This is required to eliminate the possibility of a “run away kart”.
  7. Driving in the pits is prohibited at all times. Karts must be pushed to the pre-grid area prior to being started. When exiting the track engines must be turned off prior to leaving the scale area. No driving karts onto the scales. All karts must be shut off and pushed onto the scales.
  8. Drivers may enter the track course only when there are no karts within the safe distance. The driver entering the course must put one hand in the air to signal other drivers that they are not up to speed yet.
  9. When slowing down and/or exiting the track drivers are to put one hand in the air to signal other drivers that they are slowing down.
  10. New drivers and guests without karting experience must have X’s on the helmets and on the rear number plate. Those who do not follow this rule will lose their driving privileges for the remainder of the day.
  11. New drivers and guests, who are not driving up to “speed”, may practice only if there are no more then 15 karts on the track. When 15 or more karts are on the track the slower driver must exit and wait for a less crowded session.
  12. Motor break-in is allowed, all drivers must drive their karts on the extreme right of left side of the track. When entering turns, point to the side in which they want other karts to pass on
  13. Mufflers are mandatory; privileges can be revoked without them.
  14. Absolutely no alcohol or drugs permitted on the premises. This is a family sport and we want to keep it a family environment.
  15. Championship points awards;
    • You must be a club member
    • You must participate in at least 6 club races with at least 3 karts participating in that class.
